holistic child-led curriculum
The Garden Playschool approach is designed to support the whole child, nurturing their natural curiosity, creativity, and love of learning. We’ve created an environment where children’s voices are heard, their interests are valued, and their developmental needs are met through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
Supported learning
environments
At Kiddiewinks, we see every child as a confident and capable learner. We celebrate each child’s unique interests and development stage, creating a space where they can grow at their own pace.
Our indoor and outdoor areas, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, are carefully designed to spark curiosity and encourage independent learning. These spaces act as “the third teacher,” offering opportunities for children to explore, create, and discover.
Children have the freedom to make choices in their learning, helping them build confidence and independence. Our practitioners plan activities based on what children are interested in, fostering a love for learning and imaginative play.
With lots of options like collaborative play, investigational projects, dramatic play, arts and sensory play your child will thrive as an active participant in their learning.
In our Spanish Immersion programme, children are immersed in Spanish every day through conversations and activities, giving them the chance to learn a new language and culture in a natural, fun way.

At Kiddiewinks, we’re committeed to providing our youngest children with the warm, responsive caregiving that is so essential to a young child’s healthy development and sense of wellbeing.
The Junior Toddler classroom is purposefully created to support the learning and development of this age group with materials that promote music and movement, artistic representation, dramatic play, cooking and caring for babies in a home centre, scientific and technological exploration and the discovery of a variety of interesting materials including books and building blocks along with an indoor gross motor and soft play area.
The schedule and planned activities for the Junior Toddler children in our care are reviewed on a daily and weekly basis through careful observation of children, reflection, and communication between teachers and with parents.
Age: 12-24 months

Two to three year olds learn through exploration, investigation and inquiry. Our Garden Playschool Senior Toddler programme offers an emergent, responsive, and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Our focus is on warm, responsive caregiving while also encouraging, promoting and supporting; 1) hands-on active exploration with the five senses; 2) focus and engagement; 3) independence; initiative, self-direction and autonomy; 4) self-regulation and mutually positive social interactions and friendships; and 5) learning how to communicate their interests, feelings and needs to others in socially acceptable ways.
An open floor plan with specialised areas along the perimeter and a middle space left more open for active play and movement supports a sensory-motor approach to learning. The teachers will be given the autonomy necessary to incorporate children’s interests, contributions, ideas and needs as well as parent input and preferences into the planning process and daily experiences of children.

Our qualified pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and preschool teachers and educators are committed to working with and alongside your child as they engage with the ever-changing nature of our world. We know children will need a wide range of life skills and an emerging sense of self as they approach their formal school years.
Our Garden Playschool preschool programme offers an emergent, responsive and developmentally appropriate curriculum through which the children in our care can learn, explore, and thrive together through positive interactions with peers and teachers.
The programme appreciates and celebrates the “whole child” in an integrated approach that values social, emotional, language, cognitive and physical development as equally important.
The teachers are given the autonomy and support necessary to incorporate children’s interests, contributions, ideas and needs as well as parent input and preferences into the planning process and daily experiences of children.
